Downtown Manhattan, Inc is hiring a Fall 2021 intern for the busy holiday season.  This is a paid position requiring 8-10 hours/wk. Flexibility with class schedule during the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday and some weekend availability required.

Job Summary: Work directly with Event Coordinator in planning and executing special events located in the Downtown district.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Event Manager to coordinate event logistics
  • Assist in on-site event execution including set up and break-down
  • Recruit and direct volunteers and vendors for special events
  • Communicate with Downtown business owners and staff about event details
  • Manage social media content and promotions
  • Research and order event supplies and materials
  • Collect and distribute materials to businesses
  • Recruit and organize participants for Manhattan’s Spirit of the Holidays Lighted Parade
  • Assist in analyzing data from events to create event audits and evaluate events
