October 23 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Museum of Art and Light Manhattan Kansas logo

A limited-time Halloween immersive event at The Museum of Art + Light

This October, step inside the Mezmereyz Galleries (MEZ) for The Museum of Art + Fright, a special after-hours Halloween event featuring two very different immersive experiences.

Choose your level of fright as the MEZ transforms into Scary House in MEZ 1, a family-friendly adventure filled with playful Halloween fun, or experience Into the Dark in MEZ 2, a much more intense immersive environment built for those looking for a serious scare.

Experience one or both. Just don’t expect an ordinary night at the museum.

Friday & Saturday Nights | October 16 – 31, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Choose Your Fright

Scary House
Step inside an old mansion where Halloween is more fun than frightening.

Friendly ghosts, cobweb-covered rooms, laughing pumpkins, playful surprises, and lighthearted music bring Scary House to life in a colorful immersive experience created for families and anyone who prefers their Halloween with more smiles than screams.

MEZ 1 | FREE | Family-Friendly
No ticket or reservation required. Walk-ins welcome.

Into the Dark
Enter Into the Dark, a chilling immersive journey through a series of unsettling worlds. Make your way through a graveyard, wander into a haunted forest, encounter a strange steampunk alien spacecraft, and find yourself on the shadowy streets of London in 1888, where something sinister may be waiting around the next corner.

Expect eerie sounds, screams, unsettling music, flashing lights, fog, and sudden scares throughout the experience.

MEZ 2 | $10 per person | Recommended for ages 12+
Museum members receive 10% off tickets purchased online or at the door.

Advance tickets are suggested. The Museum of Art + Fright takes place after regular museum hours. The museum’s regular galleries will be closed during the event.
