Downtown Businesses: Your DBID Bill will be mailed to you soon, coming from the City of Manhattan.

The Downtown Business Improvement District (DBID) was put in place to develop and protect our Downtown and serve the businesses and patrons of Downtown Manhattan. The services the DBID funds go toward include:

    • Groundskeeping

    • Monthly Downtown Member Lunches

    • City Commission Candidate Public Forum
    • Holiday Open House
    • Downtown Festival of Lights
    • Mayor’s Spirit of the Holidays Parade
    • Celebrate the Season Carriage Rides
  • Economic development
    • Retail, restaurant & service business recruitment
    • Working with property owners and well-vetted potential business owners to fill vacant spaces
    • Creating sales tax dollars
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships
    • City, county, and regional leaders
    • Downtown stakeholders

Each Downtown business or business space is billed annually for their DBID fee. Downtown businesses and property owners can expect to receive a bill in January from the City of Manhattan.
