Mads Christensen: Artist Talk, “Light as Medium: Beyond Illumination”

May 31 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

FREE museum admission with registration, Saturday, May 31, 4-5 p.m

Join us in Classroom One for a special one-hour talk with exhibiting artist Mads Christensen, who will discuss his artistic practice and body of work. The exhibition, “Exploring Perception: Mads Christensen and the Experience of Color, Form, and Light,” showcases a selection of two- and three-dimensional artworks that fuse digital and traditional artistic expression. Trained as an engineer and software architect, Christensen devises custom software code that allows him to paint with light, in order to convey a unique emotional experience to the viewer. This illustrated talk will conclude with a tour of the exhibition on the Museum’s 2nd floor, offering insights into Christensen’s influences and vision. FREE with museum general admission. Space is limited, please register in advance. Members: You must log into the website before registering online in order to receive your free admission.
