Estrellita: Music of Mexican Composers
October 6 @ 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Cellist Syneva Colle (K-State Faculty) and pianist Alfonso Hernández invite you on a musical journey across the southern border! Experience the works of gifted and underrepresented composers from Mexico, both past and present. This colorful program draws on the romantic melodies of Manuel Ponce, the jazz-inspired rhythmic energy of Samuel Zyman, unusual soundscapes conjured by Mario Lavista, and the fiery dance music of Arturo Márquez.
This event is free and open to the public.
