StoryWalk® Downtown: Pete the Cat

From May through July, Downtown Manhattan invites you on a magical reading adventure through the heart of our neighborhood. Begin your journey at the Manhattan Public Library’s north windows at 629 Poyntz Avenue, where Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin begins.
As you stroll, you’ll discover each page of the story displayed in the windows of participating downtown businesses. Follow the path, read along, and enjoy a little literary magic woven into the streets of Manhattan. A virtual map will help guide you on your way.
🌟 Once you’ve reached the final page, stop by the library’s Children’s Room to claim a small prize and celebrate your journey through story and city.
