Be Together on Poyntz Plein Air Competition
Date: Saturday, October 4th
Location: Poyntz Avenue, Downtown Manhattan, KS
Time: 3-Hour Live Painting Session; 3:30-8pm
Join us for the most exciting art event of the season! Capture the spirit of Downtown Manhattan by painting en plein air along the vibrant Poyntz Avenue.
Event Overview:
Artists are invited to set up along Poyntz Ave and create a piece that reflects the energy and culture of the street. You’ll have 3 hours to complete your artwork onsite. All styles and mediums welcome — as long as the work is done live during the event.
Entry Fee: $20 per submission
Awards & Recognition:
- Grand Prize: $500 cash award + artwork becomes the property of Downtown Manhattan
- The Top 10 submissions will be showcased in a Downtown Art Space throughout October
- After the exhibition, artists may sell their pieces directly
Judging:
All submissions will be reviewed and selected by a jury of art professionals and community members, ensuring a thoughtful and high-quality selection.
Time Schedule Break Down –
3:30 pm – Artist set up
4:00 pm – Competition begins
7:00 pm – All submissions must be turned in to judges station
8:00 pm – Winner announced
